What can Dermal Fillers help with?

At Orchard House, Dr. David & Dr. Stephanie can use hyaluronic acid fillers to;

  • Soften lines and wrinkles
  • Redefine, rehydrate & reshape the lips
  • Replace facial volume loss e.g temple hollowing, cheek contouring
  • Define the jaw-line & chin
  • Rejuvenate and rehydrate the skin of the face, neck and hands
  • Disguise dark circles under the eyes (tear troughs)

What does a Filler Treatment Involve?

Firstly we give a topical or local anaesthetic injection to numb the area. Dental anaesthesia can be used for lip augmentation.

Then Dr. Stephanie or Dr. David will inject small quantities of filler into the areas you wish to treat.  The latest techniques such as nano injections and the use of flexible cannulas are used to prevent tissue trauma & avoid multiple injections.

Dermal filler also contains local anaesthetic. So, the process is relatively painless. The effect is instant but it continues to improve over the next 14 days. This is because the hyaluronic acid gel integrates into your skin over time.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dermal Fillers

What are Dermal Fillers Made of?

The majority of dermal fillers used today are made from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body that helps retain moisture and add volume to the skin. These fillers are specially designed to be safe, biocompatible, and provide smooth, natural-looking results.

For those who would prefer a 100% natural filler, Dr.David also offers plasma filler made from your own blood cells.

Are Fillers Safe?

Yes, as long as a qualified professional administers them. At Orchard House your filler treatments are carried out in a clinically sterile environment. As hyaluronic acid is naturally found in your skin, it makes it extremely biocompatible.

The gel slowly dissolves over time, causing no harm to you.

Hyaluronic acid filler can be also be dissolved if needed.

Are there Side Effects?

Most side effects are mild and temporary e.g. redness, bruising, mild pain, itching, puckering and slight swelling. They are generally easily concealable and typically resolve completely within 7 -14 days.
