At Orchard House, Anti-Wrinkle Treatments are delivered following a detailed Medical consultation and Facial Assessment.

Consultation

We begin with a confidential medical history and suitability assessment.

We take time to understand your concerns, what you would like to improve, and the outcome you hope to achieve.

Dr Stephanie or Dr David will carry out a detailed facial assessment which may include:

• Visual skin analysis
• Digital and microscopic imaging
• Anatomical assessment from upper face to neck

We then discuss tailored treatment options and provide you with time to consider your choices.

No pressure. No obligation.

What to Expect

Treatment appointments are typically quick and performed in CQC registered clinical setting. Mild redness or swelling may occur and usually settles quickly. Results develop gradually over several days and typically last a number of months before maintenance treatment may be required. Individual experiences and results naturally vary.

We understand that discretion matters.

Appointments are arranged confidentially and clinical photographs are stored securely. Images are only ever used with written consent and treatment areas are anonymised.

Our approach focuses on subtle, natural-looking enhancement — unless a more defined result is specifically requested and clinically appropriate.

What is Botox®’?

Botox® is the pharmaceutical company Allergan's Brand Name for their "Botulinum Toxin A" product. There are other brands now available, but the treatment often still gets referred to by the original brand name.

What is Botulinum Toxin A?

Botulinum Toxin is a naturally occurring protein that relaxes the muscles of the face, and consequently over time, because the skin isn't being pulled, it smoothes out wrinkles. Botulinum toxin has been widely and safely used in both medical and aesthetic practice for several decades.

Not only can Dr. Stephanie and Dr. David administer the original Botox® brand, but with years of experience, they can easily interchange toxins (Letybo® Bocouture® Nuceiva®, Azzalure® & Relfydesse®) so, they can perfectly tailor your treatment.

What will Anti-Wrinkle Injections involve?

The treatment involves making a series of small injections into the muscles of your face. The injection process itself only take several minutes. This is the treatment of choice for people with forehead lines, frown lines or wrinkles around their eyes that they wish to diminish.

But is is also commonly used to relax muscles of the lower face such as lip lines (Obicularis Oris muscle), a "sad mouth" (DAO muscle), the pull from the jowls (platysma muscle), face slimming (enlarged master muscles) and necklace lines.

....This is why knowing your anatomy matters! Once toxin is injected you can adjust- but you can't take it out!

Dentists train for years (alongside medics). But, Dentists Specialise in the Head and Neck.

This includes all the Facial Muscles, Nerves and Veins that make up the Face and Neck.

Frequently Asked Questions About Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Is it Safe?

Botulinum Toxin A has been used in medical practice for over 40 years. When administered by appropriately trained clinicians, it works locally at the injection site to relax targeted muscles.

As with any medical procedure, there are potential risks and side effects, which are discussed fully during your consultation.

What are the Possible Side Effects?

Most side effects associated with anti-wrinkle injections are mild and temporary.

These may include:

• Mild redness or swelling at the injection site
• Minor bruising
• Temporary headache

More significant side effects are uncommon when treatment is carried out by appropriately trained clinicians. All potential risks and aftercare advice will be discussed during your consultation.

Who should Not Have Treatment?

Anti-wrinkle injections may not be suitable for everyone.

You should not undergo treatment if you:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have a neuromuscular condition (such as myasthenia gravis)
• Have infection or inflammation at the treatment site
• Are allergic to any ingredients in the medication

A full medical history and suitability assessment will always be carried out during your consultation before any treatment is undertaken.

Does it Hurt?

Anti-wrinkle injections involve a series of small injections using a very fine needle. Most patients describe the sensation as mild and brief. Any temporary tenderness at the injection site typically settles quickly.

What happens After Treatment?

You can return to normal daily activities immediately.

We advise avoiding:

• Strenuous exercise
• Saunas/steam rooms
• Other facial treatments

for 24 hours following treatment.

Results develop gradually over 10–14 days as muscle activity reduces.

What Areas can be Treated?

• Forehead
• Frown (between the brows)
• Crow’s feet (smile/eye wrinkles)

• Bunny lines (nose wrinkles & flaring)
• Upper lip lines (smokers/barcode lines)
• Gummy smiles

• Face contouring from Teeth Grinding
• Downturned mouth/Jowl pull (Nefertiti lift)
• Necklace lines & décolletage creasing

Suitability is assessed individually during consultation.

How Long do Results Last?

Results typically last between 3–5 months. Duration varies between individuals depending on muscle activity and lifestyle factors.

Maintenance treatments may be considered following review.

Are Anti-Wrinkle injections the Only Option?

No. Depending on skin quality, collagen support and facial structure, other treatments may sometimes be more appropriate.

These may include:

  • Skin rejuvenation treatments such as micro-needling
  • Collagen-stimulating treatments such as Biostimulators
  • Medical-grade skincare programmes, such as ZO Skin Health or BioJuve
