SkinPen Results

The pen creates micro channels that carry more topical nutrients into the skin. This increases the absorption of active ingredients. So by stimulating repair at a cellular level, it accelerates the regeneration of the skin’s cells.

What does SkinPen treatment involve?

First of all, we thoroughly cleanse and clean the skin. Topical Anaesthetic cream is applied.

We apply Skinfuse Lift HG Hyaluronic Acid (HA) serum. Then, we glide SkinPen over the skin. We can change the needling depth accordingly, for different areas of the face.

The procedure stamps Microscopic channels into the skins matrix, injecting the HA.  At the same time, it stimulates a response with intense cosmetic effects. 

What does it do?

By causing mild damage to your skin in this way, we trigger a healing process that rejuvenates the skin. This encourages collagen production and reduces the appearance of pores, lines, wrinkles and imperfections.

We then apply an appropriate antioxidant/peptide/growth factor serum tailored to your skin concerns, followed by LED light therapy, if needed.

How does SkinPen work?

The microneedling pen uses sterile, individually-sealed, disposable needle cartridges for optimal patient safety and comfort. Every SkinPen needle tip is actually made up of 14 smaller needles, which penetrate vertically into the skin. This creates small, micro-skin channels, while stimulating the skin’s natural ability to heal itself and increasing the production of new collagen.

How many treatments will I need?

We generally recommend a course of 4-6 treatments (roughly one treatment per month) but this will depend on your individual condition and treatment plan.

How long will it take?

A full face can be treated in around 60 minutes. (including time for topical anaesthetic cream to work).

How soon will I see results?

Results typically can be seen after just 1 SkinPen treatment, however cumulative treatments may be required to achieve the full desired result. The regenerating process will continue for up to 24 months post treatment.

Is SkinPen treatment painful?

SkinPens’ oscillating system increases tolerance by diffusing the nerve sensation making it a comfortable procedure. However, being a Dentist, Dr. Stephanie can administer topical anaesthetic cream if needed.

Who is this procedure suitable for?

SkinPen is suitable for all skin types. However, it can cause sensitive skin to become irritated, so it may not be appropriate for some people who suffer from skin allergies.
